Do you decorate for Valentines Day? My Valentine mantel is one of my favorites of the whole year! I love the color scheme of the black and white with the bright pops of red. All the hearts and love themed decor is so super fun and makes me happy to see it. I usually decorate about the second week of January so that I have plenty of time to enjoy it. I can’t believe I am just now sharing it…slacker Tiff!
If you’ve been hanging around here awhile you may remember that last year I had a lot of these pieces out then. My heart canvas is still a favorite, as is my love letter sign.
I added a new little Valentine initial tree carving craft this year, that I will have a tutorial for on Thursday. The tic tac toe game is such an obvious Valentine decoration with xoxo pattern! I picked that up at an after Christmas clearance sale for less than a dollar. Super cute!
The little wood signs I purchased at Jo-Ann last year, and the chalkboard arrow is a simple DIY project. Valentines Day of course means lots of treats and candy, so of course I need to add some candy jars to my decor. I think my friends eat more than my kids do. I swear when ever one of my friends come over I catch them sneaking candy whenever I turn my back on them for a minute. Good think I have lots of extras in the pantry!
Speaking of pantry…just behind that cute heart door hanging is my pantry. I showed you a sneak peek inside over at Make It and Love It last week…I may be able to do a full reveal this month. It’s dreamy!
Across from that door sits my white piano, and of course it had to get the love treatment as well!
I am so happy that I finally purchased this wreath from Target, I had my eye on it since November, but I couldn’t justify the purchase until it went on clearance. When my husband pulled me down the aisle last month and put it in the cart, I about jumped up and down for joy right there in the store. That man knows me so well. 🙂
The little white baskets my kids made at Home Depot last year at one of the kids workshops. I never let my kids paint their projects there if they are something I might want to keep. I know I’m a mean mom, but 45 colors of smeared paint on anything isn’t going to make the cut to come into my house. I love my kids and I love their creativity…I just don’t want to display all of it. My kids have just accepted it, and helped me paint them white when we got home. Ha! This valentine I made of them a couple years back is still one of my most favorite things. I printed it big at Costco last year and will probably be pulling it out forever! Those babies are my world! And they are SO little in this picture! Sigh.
Just a few more pics…
Please tell me you love this wreath half as much as I do. Do you love pops of red in your decor? It’s my favorite in small doses.
What’s your favorite holiday to decorate for?
