Reveals are always a long process for me, which is weird since I look forward to sharing so much. This pantry reveal has been ready to share for nearly a year. Life gets crazy and I try to meet deadlines instead of sharing what I love, and I always regret that. Trying to be better.
I have shared bits and pieces of this pantry reveal, like my pantry organizer baskets. Building photos of how this built in pantry came to be were also shared. My husband is seriously the man. I have the ideas and he makes them a reality.
Bright white goodness of happiness! Bead board lines the walls on all three sides.
Shelves are white washed so that a little warmth comes through with the wood. I bought the apple baskets at Michaels to keep snacks and extra pantry things that don’t really have a place.
White gift boxes with tags keep the little items that need a container…and I love the way they look on the shelf. When purchasing anything new as far as serving ware, I try to keep with white. White is what I always reach for, but I do have some other fun colors and stripes to put on top or to accent for holidays or parties.
The stool is from IKEA, and is necessary for my little short family. While I am an amazon giant at 5 foot 8 inches, my husband is only 5 foot 6 inches and doesn’t have orangutan arms like me. My kids are also short…for now, I am hoping at least my boys get a little of my amazon giant blood! 😉
Canned lighting was installed in the ceiling and we use daylight bulbs to keep the bright white looking bright white.
The bottom shelf houses all the paper goods for parties, or when I have guests and don’t want dishes. I keep the cutlery all organized in separate bins so that I can easily see if I need more forks or spoons and don’t come home with more than I need and not enough of something else.
My husband had an overabundance of movies and I will go into detail on how we organize those in a later post. The movie collection is housed in the pantry.
The appliances that aren’t used for baking, and aren’t in my baking area are in the pantry, on a lower shelf so that the kids have easy access to them if they are cooking something.
So there it is, my pantry reveal! I am in love with this little part of my house, and all the organization it helps me with. It truly is my happy place.
