This is where it all happens! Welcome to my organized and all white craft room!
This craft room was the very FIRST room we remodeled when we moved into our house. Now that we have done the rest of the house, there are a couple things that need to be updated to match…like the wood floors and the big thick baseboards, but other than that, this room has my heart. And most days my butt parked right in this chair!
Since we all know I can be wordy at times, I will try and just let the photos do most of the talking, but I wanted to give a little background to this lovely organized white craft room space!
When we bought our house they said it had five bedrooms. When we walked in this room we almost laughed at the realtor. This might be a good size for a small nursery, but it would be tight fitting for any other kind of bedroom, it’s reeeealll narrow. Luckily its right next to my master bedroom, and is the only other room on the second floor of my house besides a half bathroom. I kind of feel like I’m up in my own little tower up here, not a whole lot of reasons for my kids to be upstairs (except to raid my supplies) so it gives me minimum distractions!
If you’ve been here for any amount of time you will have figured out that my most very favorite color is white, so it should come as no surprise the overall theme of this room is white! It totally makes me feel energized and creative to walk into this space each day.
Organized White Craft Room Ideas
When you first walk in, you see my tall enough for me (I am nearly 5’9″) work table. We put bead-board all around the wall above it, making a great place to take photos of my finished projects! Behind the door, I have tucked my wrapping paper station, I keep seasonal and most used rolls on the dowels along with matching ribbons, rope and tulle.
Organized Desk
To the left of my table I have my desk, it actually has a lovely view of the mountains from here if you look over the roofs of all my neighbors! I have my desktop computer hooked up here, but I don’t use it very often. 99% of the time, I am on my laptop. I do have my Silhouette machines hooked up to it though, which makes it nice to be able to cut from that while I’m working on other things at the same time.
One of my favorite features in the room is in this space. My husband built me a little cubby under the craft table, attached to the desk for me to keep all my desk supplies in, so they are off the desk. I love tucking my stapler, tape dispenser and little containers of necessities inside, in reach, but out of sight.
The cute striped roman blinds I got from Blinds.com and I adore them!
Craft Room Pegboard
Behind my desk is my pegboard and filing cabinet. We went through all of our paper last year when we were doing the Magic of Tidying Up and really cut down on our files that we had been moving around since before we were married. Which is awesome, because now I have two whole extra drawers where I keep all the extra little things that go into my gifts. It’s so nice to have a good supply of little things to throw something together when your kids need a birthday party gift at the last minute!
White Craft Room Shelves
My built in shelves are a real show stopper, but surprisingly hard to get a photo of! These are next to my desk, and my husband did such a fabulous job building these and making them easy for me to customize to what heights I need them for all of my supplies. I have all the clear bins labeled so I can easily find things and put them away just as easy. My label maker is one of my very most favorite items! In the striped fabric bins I keep my vinyl, paper trimmers, ribbon and watercolor supplies.
Craft Room Storage
Under my craft table I have a couple inexpensive cabinets just to maximize storage in here. I decided rather than try to explain what was in them to just show you inside of them. It’s a hodge-podge of things I use, completed projects, extra school supplies and gift ideas.
And that’s about it, that’s my little white craft room! If you have any questions about anything in this space, please feel free to leave me a comment or send an email and I will answer it! I will leave you with a few more close ups of some of the spaces in the room. Let me know what you think!
