I’ve said it before, but I wish that these gender reveal parties were a trend when I was still having babies! I love the theme of this party! My husband LOVES fishing…sometimes I question if he loves it more than me during those summer mornings! Luckily for him I gave him 3 little fisherman and one mermaid…who also absolutely loves fishing. Me? I do not love fishing. I love that my kids have something that they can share just with their dad though. I will go with them once in awhile out on the boat, but I would rather sit on the warm shore and read a book then try and catch a fish. Mermaids are always super fun to incorporate into parties. They add that bit of magic that we are all looking for.

The party always needs to start with an invitation, and this one has a fun twist because you can send it as a message in the bottle! I am sharing all the free printable aspects of this party in this DIY Message in a bottle invite post.

After the invite you also need to think about how you will reveal the gender! Going with that same message in a bottle theme, there is a free printable to go inside another bottle then perch it on top of this DIY Mermaid or Fisherman centerpiece.

Finally the food. Oh the delicious food! These crab salad sliders are easy and perfect for a nautical themed party!
