Ice Cream Sundae Gift Box
I grabbed some basic kraft photo boxes, some clear cellophane bags, wooden ice cream spoons and some ice cream cups, my Smucker’s toppings and a few more fun things.
For additional toppings we kept it simple with some sprinkles. Sundaes with sprinkles make my kids happy and since the whole point of these boxes is to make someone happy, I knew I needed to add some. I just used the bags, put plenty in there and closed with a cute piece of washi tape. You could also do the same thing and use other candies, chopped nuts, mini marshmallows and anything else you like to put on sundaes.
I found some mini jars of maraschino cherries, but the jars weren’t super cute, so I just wrapped them in tissue paper and a little ribbon. You could do this with all of the toppings if you wanted, it’s like opening mini little presents…and who doesn’t like opening presents? No one. That’s who.
I LOVE little wooden spoons, and if you’ve been around here for any amount of time you know I also LOVE washi tape! Put the two together, and naturally you get something adorable. Couldn’t be easier!
I wrapped enough spoons for each member of the families that we are giving these to in a a cellophane bag fanning the bottoms out so that you can see the cute washi and tied that with some curling ribbon.
Next…you can’t have a party without a banner these days, so I wanted to throw one inside the box. I used my die cutting machine to cut the triangles out but scissors work great too!
With some of the scraps I made tiny triangles and made a little banner on the box lids. I just drew a swirly line with a fine tip black marker and glued them on. Now when our friends see these boxes on their doorsteps they’ll know that something fun is inside.
Then it’s just a matter of putting everything inside! I put some of that crinkled party confetti type paper in the bottom of the boxes.
I put the delicious Salted Caramel and the Chocolate Pretzel Magic Shell in one box…because yeah, that’s just delicious!
The other box is equally delicious with the Chocolate Mint Cookie Crunch Magic Shell and the decadent Hot Fudge. Yum!
Our family’s motto is to spread joy, and bringing people a party in a box will definitely bring a smile to our friends faces. We really thought about who we wanted to bring these to, and we came up with two families that are going through a hard patch. One of my best friend’s husbands just lost his dad to cancer, so they are all pretty down. My other friend just got some scary health news that we are all praying will work out. I know anything during these hard times to bring a smile to their faces will help and be much appreciated, especially if we can make the kids forget about being sad even for a minute or two. Feeling really lucky to have the opportunity to spread joy to others, and can see how small my problems really are. It really puts things in perspective!
Who would you make an Ice Cream Sundae Gift Box for?
