Looking for an easy DIY Mother’s Day gift idea for grandma? This grandparent’s brag board is something they will love to update anytime you send them new pics of your cute kiddos and their artwork!
My mom is growing a small collection of grandchildren and is now up to 9…she may be done for a while, until my brother starts procreating in a few years (hopefully). She needed a place to put all the pics that we are all giving her of our cute little munchkins. This grandparents brag board is a perfect gift for my mom. My mother in law? Not so much, she has so many grandkids and great-grandkids that I stopped counting after 35. She needs a museum to hold all the pics of her grandkids!
If you have a digital cutter for vinyl like my Silhouette then this is an easy last minute gift that is perfect!
Grandparents Brag Board
First, get a piece of poplar from The Home Depot and paint it her favorite color. Then cut out the quote using your digital cutter in a couple of different colors. I used a font that didn’t need to be super straight, and used a ruler as I went along to make sure that it stayed in somewhat of a straight line! You could also use transfer paper and get it perfect, but I was plum out!
For the string, I just used bakers twine and some red thumb tacks to attach it in the front and back. I put one in the middle so that it didn’t sag when photos were hanging from it. I used one of these picture hangers on the back for her to hang it on the wall.
To hang the pictures I’ve used a lot of different kinds of things in the past, clothespins, binder clips, and this time I used paper clips! 
It works great! Plus I know she can always add more for nothing if she needs more pics! Plus they are the lightest of all the things, so they don’t drag the string down too much!
