One of the cutest times of the year at my house is when I have my pretty Easter mantel up! Love the softness and cuteness!
Easter is a fun holiday to decorate for isn’t it? I have a hard time keeping to one set of decorations, so I decorate my Easter mantel and my Easter piano decorations completely different. For my mantel I went with mostly whites, touches of pastels and soft and muted textures. The twig bunny wreath from Hobby Lobby balances all the softness and adds a bit of contrast.
Pretty Easter Mantel
The grow where you are planted is from Hobby Lobby as is the bunny with the raffia bow. I love that cute little guy! He’s standing on a cupcake plate from Target. Then of course I had to fill my candy jars with Cadbury Mini Eggs…and then exercise EXTREME willpower to not eat all of them! They are sitting on top of candlesticks from Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart.
The other little white bunny is another find from the Target one spot and the carton of eggs is from Hobby Lobby. The wreath stand is from Real Deals, I finally painted it white…something my husband teases me about, he says he’s waiting for the day I paint him white. I tell him he doesn’t have to worry about that with his pasty skin, he blends right in! Ha!
Finally that ribbon garland! I LOVE it! I found it at Michaels for my daughter’s room, but I steal it for my Easter mantel. Yes, I so easily could have made it, but buying all the cute ribbons and lace would have cost way more than the banner did, especially with a 50% off coupon and the colors were perfect for what I needed it for.
I think that’s my favorite thing about decorating my mantel, the hunt! Finding pieces from all over the place that somehow magically all go together when placed just right.
I try to find pieces that are classic, not just trendy that I will love year after year. Every holiday when I open the tote for that month and see all of my treasures, it just makes me so happy! I always add one or two things each time because again, that’s my favorite part. Then I always take one or two things out that I don’t love anymore, because the trends or deals I couldn’t pass up do sneak in there, and then when I open the bucket I look at those things and know that they just don’t belong with my collection.
The personalized Easter buckets are a favorite DIY that make me giddy. Be sure to check those out and the meaning behind the colors on each of them. If you have more than one kid and don’t do this little trick, you are missing out!
Bright and Fun Easter Decor
Now, like I said I have a hard time committing to just one decoration “theme” for lack of a better word, so my white piano gets a totally different treatment most holidays, especially at Easter time! Where the Easter mantel is muted and pretty, my piano is bright and fun.
The potted Easter eggs are from Hobby Lobby as is the egg garland, which I love so much for a reason I can’t put my finger on. It makes me smile every time I walk by or sit at the piano. The cute little Hip Hop printable is from Fontaholic. Finally the cute little bunny and bird are from Target.
The big hurricane jar is from TJ Maxx and I filled it with confetti eggs leftover from my DIY Easter Bunny gift bags, they are from Oriental Trading Co.
The watercolor Easter eggs are the ones I made for Make It and Love It with my kids, propped up against the mirror I got from Target.
So there you have it, two different styles that make me so happy and feel totally springy and Eastery. Which is your favorite?
