It’s amazing how fast the month’s go by when you have a deadline each month ha! Last week on Make It and Love It, I was able to post my fun DIY leather cuffs that I made out of some of my old belts. I have been meaning to do this for ages! I had been saving some belts for years. Literally years. I finally got to work and embellished some! I love being a contributor over with Ashley and challenging myself to come up with something she hasn’t posted before…that girl is a crazy maker! So many fun tutorials over there, it’s sometimes hard to find something new! 🙂
DIY Leather Cuffs
These are 3 different belts turned into 6 different leather cuffs. Some are clasped with snaps and others with cording. They are all different enough that I can wear them with different outfits. They are perfect for fall! The leather and lace ones go nicely with a flowy dress and boots. The others I have been wearing with jeans and sweaters…yes we are experiencing fall temps here in the Northwest this week…no complaints, my wardrobe is very happy to comply to fall weather!
For the full tutorial on how to embellish these, where to get the snaps, how to attach them and lots of ideas on how to do these head over to Make It and Love It and check out the tutorial. These would make great gifts for your girlfriends, for teachers, for your teenage and tween daughters…and how fun would it be to involve them in making these for themselves and their friends? I’ve had tons of younger girls comment on them when I wear them, and ask where they can get them.
Have you made these before? How did you embellish them?
