DIY Kids Book Shelves
While looking over my school room, which I LOVE by the way, I was looking for ways to make it more streamlined for this years school year. I was thinking about last year and how the biggest problem we had in the school room is the piles of books, notebooks and workbooks all over the desks. The kids didn’t want to get up and put their books away in the middle of school, so they would just pile them up. I thought it would be nice if they had some DIY kids book shelves closer to the desk. I found these little half crates at Michaels for $5 each.
I painted them red and then used some letter tiles to spell some school themed words, “write, read and learn.” A couple of the tiles were a little roughed up, but I love the look of it.
I put two on one wall and one on the other right next to the desks. They are right in reach of the kids so that they can easily put the books back when they are done using them.
I love them! They look adorable and they are super functional. These would be cute next to a bed, or chair too in the kids room. Perfect size for just the right amount of books.
