I am excited to be a part of a fun group sharing our Snowy Sundays Christmas home tours!
Christmas decorating is one of my most favorite things to do…and I’m on the team of the earlier the better! This year I was fortunate enough to be given a GORGEOUS white flocked tree from Tree Classics and share my home with this fun Snowy Sundays tour.
My inspiration this year for my holiday decor was a white farmhouse style Christmas. This is the first time I have ever had a flocked tree, and I am so glad I picked out this gorgeous Flocked Alpine Spruce Tree. If we’re being real here, this is the first time I’ve had an artificial tree as my main tree. My husband loves to go out and cut one down, but we can never go until after Thanksgiving and that is SUPER hard on this Christmas decor loving girl! We are still going to go cut one down this year and put it in the boys bunk room, so don’t worry, I’m not taking away that family tradition. 🙂
Snowy Sundays
Sundays for my family are a day of relaxing, rest and restoration. We take the day to spend time together, mostly at home. We eat delicious food…usually something that was cooking on it’s own in the slow cooker or oven while we were at church. On snowy Sundays we enjoy hot chocolate and play games together. During the Christmas season we watch one of our abundant collection of holiday themed movies, while snuggled together on the couch under piles of blankets while the fire crackles.
I believe that having our home decorated for the holidays just brings us closer together, adds warmth and joy and makes those snowy Sundays just that much better.
White Christmas Tree Decor
I’m going to let my pictures do the talking on the decorating, but I want to talk a little about the tree decor. The tree itself is so pretty that I went with just simple decor, I set it up in a matter of minutes, super easy right out of the box, which means I could get right to the fun stuff…the decorating!
The first thing I did was grab a metal tree collar. This added a lot of charm right off the bat. I went with a simple wood bead garland and farmhouse star that I got at Target. Then I hand painted and hand lettered all the little signs on the tree with fun little Christmas sayings. I made them one night while watching Elf with my boys. Finally the terrarium ornaments from Oriental Trading I just filled with jingle bells, crystal diamond shaped ornaments (that reflect the light so beautifully!) and some white tinsel.
Christmas Home Tours
Now I’ll just let the photos take you on a little tour of my home all decorated for Christmas! If you need any sources, leave me a comment and I’ll let you know where I got it!
Hot Chocolate Bar
Having a hot chocolate bar set up throughout the winter season just makes our home feel so much more cozy. You can go elaborate for sure, but it can also be as simple as a little corner with a hot water carafe and some hot cocoa packets.
If you want to dress it up, add tiered tray with some supplies and a few smaller decorations, and you have yourself a party!
I hope you enjoyed the tour!
