I talked yesterday about how to make these EASY 3d stars, and a fun way to use them in your 4th of July decorations. I put together a couple banners using them.
A few of these and some twine and you have some serious cute potential! I cut mine out with my Silhouette and then folded them (tutorial on how to do that on yesterday’s post), they were each about 3.5″.
I punched small holes on two sides with my Cropodile, you could use a regular old hole punch, this isn’t rocket science! 🙂
Thread the stars through…
..and hang them on a pre-made twig wreath (I got mine at Hobby Lobby). I love that it is painted white (more gray really), I think this would be totally easy with a regular old brown twig wreath and some white spray paint if you can’t find one like this.
Or string them across your mantel. Here is a little sneak peek at my mantel this month, I will share the rest next week.
These banners are some of the easiest I have ever made, and yet some of the most satisfying. They have so much character with the dimension of them. I promise it will up the cute factor, and the patriotic spirit wherever you choose to hang them. I kind of think they look like starfish a bit too, so I might be making a blue and white one when I do a nautical mantel…what month is nautical? 😉
Where would you hang them?
