Delightful Black and White Halloween Mantel
One of the terrible things about being a blogger is that sometimes we do cute things, and then we don’t share them. We think to ourselves that our readers probably don’t want to see one more black and white Halloween mantel. I mean, honestly, you type that into Pinterest and you will be lost there for days! White has almost inched out orange as the other prominent Halloween color.
I had a friend walk in the other day and see my black and white Halloween decor and she was gushing over it. She asked if it was on the blog yet…and I told her no. She asked why in the world not, and I told her I didn’t feel like the internets needed one more black and white Halloween post. Then I realized I hadn’t shared my summer mantel in August or my darling fall one in September, before I switched over to Halloween. I get into this frame of mind that I’ve shared a fall mantel before, so I don’t need to share another. Well guess what? I was in the same frame of mind last year. Guess who didn’t share their Halloween mantel?
Especially since my mantel posts are some of my most favorites on my site! I LOVE decorating for each season and holiday!
Halloween Mantel Decorating Ideas
Let’s break this one down shall we? A lot of these items came from this year’s Target collection at the area previously known as “the one spot”. Because honestly, they KILLED it this year!
The mummy candy dish, the black and white light up pumpkins, the mini white pumpkins on my candlesticks, the wood 31, the spider and the ghost buntings and most of the elements on my wreath were all picked up in that glorious little area. Whew! Not to mention the little white cake stand that I purchased last winter there. The candlesticks are Better Homes and Gardens, and the black web fabric is from Jo-Ann.
The Ghost Emoji Pumpkins are some of my favorites, and had to come inside so I could enjoy them more.
Black and White Halloween Party Decor
And you all know that I can’t just decorate the mantel right? My white piano always get some love too! This piano is ready to party!
My favorite thing this year is this 3 tiered tray from Hobby Lobby. My BFF (who I may just be introducing to you soon, hint hint) picked this up for me and the decorating ideas are endless!
The black and white glittered pumpkins are from Target, as is the smokey jar and mummy candy jar. Also, I can’t keep those Reese’s pumpkins stocked. I don’t know how it happens, but every time I walk by, I suddenly have an empty wrapper in my hand. I don’t remember eating them, but my husband thinks all my kisses taste like peanut butter and chocolate for some reason. Hmmmm. The jute pumpkin is from World Market and the rest (ornaments, tombstone, and spiders) are from Michaels. LOVE this part of my Halloween decor!
My kids favorite is obviously Fred.
They think it’s hilarious. I might have giggled quite a bit myself while making this chalkboard art. 🙂 The bat garland is from Oriental Trading. The little pumpkins are from Michaels, and the ghost candy dishes (that my nephew eats ALL of whatever I put in them, and then his mom gets mad at me) and the gray poms are from Target and Fred himself is from Jo-Ann a few years back.
And now, just some more detail photos…enjoy…
My friend gave me this Halloween printable, and I’m not sure what the original source is, so if you know, let me know so that I can give them credit!
I’ve learned my lesson. I will share my mantel from now on. Pinky promise.
