You guys, I am STILL finishing my daughter’s room. I know you have been hearing that for what? Ever? Yeah it feels that way to me too. I keep finding more spaces to decorate though, and I have all these ideas…and they can’t all possibly fit into the room so I hem and haw about which ones are most important…and yeah, it’s exhausting! I have been loving scalloped edges lately, they have such an antique farmhouse kind of look that I absolutely adore. Scalloped edges are feminine and vintage looking, and just so darn charming that they flat out demanded to be placed in my daughter’s feminine, whimsical room. I made this adorable DIY scalloped edge swing shelf and I really don’t think I could love it more than I do!
I am sharing the tutorial of how I made it over on Make It and Love It. You might be surprised what I used for the scallops…and that I made it so incredibly easy that anyone who can drill a hole could make this with virtually no other power tools. It will look cute in any little girl’s room…or really any feminine space, like a powder room or sitting room…I’m super in love with scalloped edge anything, so I have all the heart eyes for this shelf!
Honestly the LAST thing that needs to be done in here is a window seat…but I also have a hope chest that I had as a kid that I want to refinish for her, and if I do that then there won’t be room for the window seat. That is what I am going back and forth on. She doesn’t care either way, but I can’t seem to make up my mind! Stay tuned for the next 6 months to see what decision I finally come to! Ha!

These are hanging on her fun gallery wall…I have images of that within this post.
This was back in August…we have LOTS more done since this post! 🙂
