This 3 ingredient sausage queso dip is super easy to make and is perfect for your Superbowl party!
Does your team have a chance of going to the Superbowl? Mine did, but the Panthers beat the Seahawks on Sunday and I may have cried a bit…also I was mad at my husband for a few hours since he peeked at the final score and told me before I had a chance to watch the game since we were in church when they were playing. Not cool friend, not cool! Still, the Panther’s have had such a great season, so I am kind of, sort of forgiving them and hoping they get a chance to play. So even though the Hawks won’t be playing and making up for the horrible, no good ending of last year’s epic game…I will still be watching…and of course eating. The game is fun, the commercials are great, but the food is the real reason to party and you all know it. Even the die hard sport enthusiasts know that the food is very important on Superbowl Sunday!
This sausage queso dip is so super easy to make, so if you run out by half time, you will have time to whip up a new bowl and still be able to see Coldplay rock. You don’t have to limit yourself to just eating it for football games though, I brought a batch to Bunco the other night and me and my girlfriends enjoyed it thoroughly!
Seriously it’s only 3 ingredients, and it doesn’t use a block of yellow ‘cheese product’, it uses cream cheese which in my mind and belly is a million times better! Then you just need a can of Rotel or sub it for your favorite salsa, and then a half pound of sausage, I chose a mild Italian, but a spicy chorizo would be tasty too if kids aren’t going to be munching on it.
And munch on it they will. This is my 7 year old’s grubby little hand. He was standing on a stool salivating as I took the photos, asking after each one if he could have a bite yet. Finally I said yes, and just look at that generous scoop he took! Little stinker. My kids all love this.
You also just put it all in one pan, so clean up is easy too. Winner!
What’s your favorite thing to eat on Superbowl Sunday?
My menu so far is:
and of course this…
Who wants to come over and party with me? 🙂
