I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned this or not here on the bloggity blog…but I married well friends. Very well. I’m not just talking about my hot stuff husband either, and he is hot stuff! I got the whole package. I got the greatest mother in law in the universe, seriously clean your house, organize your garage cabinets. cook your dinner, watch your kids and smile all the while kinda mother in law. Not to mention that she is sweet, feisty, and hysterical. If she would move in with me, I would make it happen in a second!
Then on top of that, my sisters in laws are like knock your socks off awesome! AhhhhMAZING. They are my best friends, and the best of the best on this earth. They are what make me miss living in Utah, and about the only thing that Oregon doesn’t have that I miss. I have one sister in law who has been one of my idol’s since the first time I met her, and she is crafty on top of every other fantastic quality she has. She is always making me these adorable heart stockings for me and my family for us to hang at this time of year to fill with Valentine love letters and treats.
She’s made me enough that we can pick and choose which ones we want to hang each year. The kids LOVE this tradition. They fill them to the brim with little notes, coupons and treats that they buy one another. We actually have to open them a few times during their hanging period just because they get so darn full! 🙂
This year I decided to make a sign to hang above the cuteness and am in love with how it turned out. I just grabbed a piece of white wood from my scrap pile and then used my Silhouette to cut out this cuteness.
I don’t know why but it kind of reminds me of Pride and Prejudice…maybe because of the fancy font, or maybe because of the romance of a love letter. Anywho swooon!
We have it hanging in our dining room with our stockings hung below. The hotness monster and I share one and then the kids all have their own.
Do you have a Valentine love letters station in your house? You should! So much fun!
What do you do to celebrate this month of love with the kids?
