You may remember I have an aversion to carving pumpkins and LOVE any way that I can make a pumpkin cute without gutting it. Well this is the easiest…and maybe the most fun I have had decorating pumpkins in a long, long time. I loaded up on Halloween Duck Tape®, and grabbed three different little craft pumpkins. I found all of this at my favorite store, Target. 🙂
Easy Pumpkins using Duck Tape
These are really easy! I used wire and fish line to hang them, since they are craft pumpkins they hang really well.
For the bat, you just fold the black tape in on itself and cut out the shape of wings and ears. Then use the tape to attach it to the pumpkin. I cut out insides of the ears out of the spooky chevron tape, and then used black and white tape and scissors to cut out the face.
For the witch, I used the ring from the top of the tape and made the base of the hat, and then used a manilla folder to create the cone shape. Use tape to cover the entire thing and some spider tape to make the brim. I cut a hole in the bottom so that it would go over stem of the pumpkin. Again for the face I just used black, white and chevron until I had the look I was going for.
For the broom I twisted tape until I had a stick, and then folded the chevron tape on itself and cut out a broom shape. I taped them together and then cut the stick in half. Using just little flathead sewing pins I stuck them in the pumpkin.
For the ghost, this was the easiest one… I just folded the white tape in on itself and attached strips of it to the back of the ghost. For the arms, I did the same thing as the bat, but curves instead of points. For the face, just cut out black ovals and stick them on there! Easy peasy!
