It’s my favorite photo time of the year! I absolutely LOVE taking my kids cute back to school photos each year. One of the best parts of homeschooling is that I get to hang cute pictures on my wall each year instead of the horrors that I grew up with, you know the ones with the laser light show backgrounds! As a home school mom I don’t have to do much in way of school clothes shopping. I just have to go through their clothes and grab a few things to start the season. BUT, I must have at least one new outfit from a cute store like Gymboree to take their cute back to school photos in!
I was given a gift card to go shopping with, and was able to buy my kids a few new things for the school year. You can read my full disclosure here.
This year’s collections did not disappoint! I always love going into Gymboree for my kids, especially my daughter. It seems that if you go into any of the department stores for a 9 year old girl, you get a lot of mini skirts, loud neon, obnoxious teen stars and things way to skanky to put on my still little girl. Gymboree has adorable clothes for tween girls though. Skirts that don’t show booty, adorable sweaters, and fantastic stylish, but still cute dresses.
For my three crazy boys, they have great sweaters, jeans, sweatshirts, tees and my favorite underwear for them! It’s all good quality and last through more than one of my boys-so for their cute church or picture clothes, it is totally worth it to pay a little bit more and get something so cute and such good quality. I always go for their sale when everything is $12.99 and under and I have quite the collection of Gymbucks just waiting to be redeemed at any given time. Right now they are having a back to school sale of 30% off all regular priced items, also free shipping on orders over $75.
Okay enough of my love affair with Gymboree, but I love them, as I’m sure you do to! Back to the cute back to school photos! Every year the kids hold up a sign to show what grade they are in, and I add them to their back to school journals. This year I took them to the old high school in town, that is now being used as a district building, to take the photos. It’s a super cool building and gave my photos just the look I wanted. My boys, as mentioned before are crazy, so I just let them be once I put them in their jeans and hoodies. I can’t wait to blow some of these up and hang them up in their shared room. There are a lot more wrestling photos that I think I will hang in the playroom.
Do you take your own cute back to school photos? If so, I wanna see them! Leave a comment below!
