I am back home (for a couple weeks) and the features are back as well! We had a fun week in Portland doing all sorts of great stuff with the kids, but wow I am tired, and a little kidded out. Allow me to explain.
Let’s Start With The Basics
What exactly are omega 3 fatty acids? Clinical explanations can leave us more confused than we were when we first started asking questions, but it’s actually fairly simple.
The omega 3 essential fatty acids are:
- ALA – Alpha-linolenic acid
- DHA- Docosahexaenoic acid
- EPA- Eicosapentaenoic acid
This all breaks down into a very comprehensible explanation. The reason these three are considered essential fatty acids is simple. While the human body does not create essential fatty acids naturally, our bodies still depend heavily on them to function properly.
