I am back home (for a couple weeks) and the features are back as well! We had a fun week in Portland doing all sorts of great stuff with the kids, but wow I am tired, and a little kidded out. I’m ready for some grown up time, and seeing all of your cute stuff from last week was a good start! I loved all the furniture makeovers that were linked up. I grabbed 9 that inspired me and that I thought you would like. You should see the before pictures on some of these! The transformations are fantastic!

I have Sandra Goldstein here to tell us about the benefits of Krill Oil and giving one of you a one month supply!
Eat Your Vegetables, Drink Water, and Stock Up On Omega 3’s!
It’s 2013, and we can’t get away with blissful ignorance anymore when it comes to our health. Everybody (EVERYBODY) knows we need to be making healthier choices at every turn.
The list is endless; choose organic, watch your red meat consumption, get enough sleep, exercise, watch less television, read more, drink water – but know where your water is coming from and what’s in it, take a multi vitamin, cut down on gluten, careful with your dairy, avoid trans fats and stock up on…omega-3’s, omega—3’s, omega-3’s.
I don’t know everything about everything, I do however, know about omega-3’s. I also know, that even though omega-3’s are receiving international attention from medical practitioners, media and dieticians alike – there hasn’t been a lot available in terms of actually breaking down WHY omega-3’s are so important to your health, and what exactly they do that is so incredible. Allow me to explain.
Let’s Start With The Basics
What exactly are omega 3 fatty acids? Clinical explanations can leave us more confused than we were when we first started asking questions, but it’s actually fairly simple.
The omega 3 essential fatty acids are:
- ALA – Alpha-linolenic acid
- DHA- Docosahexaenoic acid
- EPA- Eicosapentaenoic acid
This all breaks down into a very comprehensible explanation. The reason these three are considered essential fatty acids is simple. While the human body does not create essential fatty acids naturally, our bodies still depend heavily on them to function properly.
Omega-3’s are instrumental in promoting optimal health on various levels. Numerous medical studies and clinical trials, have found omega-3’s to be crucial in promoting cardiovascular health, reducing joint inflammation, providing a boost to mood and personal feelings of well being, allowing relief from symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome and increasing energy levels.
My Story
I personally, have experienced the profound benefits of taking omega-3 supplements on a regular basis. Years ago, I suffered a sports injury in my knee that has caused chronic pain for nearly a decade. I’m just in my early thirties, and sometimes, I haven’t been able to even leave the house because of the debilitating pain. Since taking Krill Oil supplements on a daily basis for over a year, I have noticed an incredible reduction in the painful inflammation I had always thought I would just have to ‘get used to’. My mobility is stronger than it’s been in a long time. I know I’m (obviously) more than a little biased, but it’s a true story, and it’s one I try to share with as many people as possible.
Getting Your Hands On Omega-3’s!
Many people try to supplement their omega 3 fatty acid in take by consuming fish on a semi regular basis. The problems attached to depending solely on omega-3 dietary in take from fish – lies in the fact that many fish are carrying toxins such as mercury, dioxin and PCBs.
Flax seeds and algae also contain omega 3 fatty acids, but the amount we would need to consume in order to achieve our recommended omega 3 dietary in take, would be monumental. I’m not sure about you, but I don’t know that I’d care to have algae included as the principle part of every meal on a daily basis!
One simple option to achieving optimal omega-3 intake on a daily basis is to choose an omega-3 supplement. Omega-3 supplements can be found absolutely everywhere. I just recommend doing your homework, as many fish oil supplements available on the market, will contain the same toxins and contaminants that are found in the fish we consume in our dietary in take.
Everest Nutrition Krill Oil is a superior omega-3 supplement on the market, with optimal levels of omega-3 concentration that allows you by pass the dangerous toxins and contaminants found in other leading brand fish oil’s – while enjoying the numerous benefits of involving omega-3’s in your daily healtlh care plan.
Krill are a crustacean very high in omega-3s, and packed with antioxidants because they also contain a powerhouse antioxidant called astaxanthin (an antioxidant well worth investigating I might note). What I also like best about choosing krill oil as your choice omega 3 supplement is that it’s also sustainable – which allows you to achieve optimal health – guilt free.
Everest Nutrition is excited at the opportunity to give a one month supply of Everest Nutiriton Krill Oil to one of you, so that you can experience the health benefits for yourself! We’re also happy to be working alongside a site that works so hard to keep it’s readers ‘in the know’ – when it comes to amazing experiences, opportunities and products available to them!

Our favorite thing to do to kick off spring is breakfast at the park. We meet a bunch of friends, everyone brings bagels and schmear, fruit, juice, coffee, muffins, whatever portable breakfast food they want. The kids snack between playing, the moms chat and caffeinate. It’s a great way to welcome the warmer weather.
thank you so much for the fun party!

I have a new house, so I’m looking forward to planting flowers this spring. It’ll be a first for me, but I’m expecting to make it a yearly tradition.
