Giveaway! Win TWO new Windows Phones #MeetYours

Edit: Giveaway closed! Winner will be announced and notified shortly!Win-Two-Windows-Phones

As you know it’s almost Valentine’s Day! Time to reflect on your own love story…or at least the love you have for your friends and family! I’m always a sucker for a good “How We Met” story. I’m sure I’ve told mine to you all before, but I will give you the condensed version again, just in case. I was managing a Subway sandwich shop, and a friend called and asked if I could bring sandwiches up to him and a couple of the guys he was working with after I got off. I did, and one of the guys happened to be my Chad. I didn’t think much on the meeting, but luckily he did. Suddenly he became my most loyal customer. Two weeks later he asked me out and about 3 1/2 months later we were married! Eleven years later and I am really happy he liked my sandwiches!

Windows Phone Giveaway

Windows Phones has a fun little app on Facebook where you can share your own How We Met story and see it come to life with the live tiles. You can make it about your significant other, family member or friend. They want to hear your love story…and they want to give you some of their amazing phones just for sharing it! I am jealous of the winner of this giveaway! A new Windows phone for you AND one for you loved one?!? How fun! I want my hubby to have one! Edit: I’ve had the question asked, do I have to switch carriers if I win the phone? No! If you are the winner, you can use Windows Phones with any of the carriers that support them. I use AT&T, and all it took was transferring my SIM card from my old phone to my new one. Easy peasy!

I made my own How We Met story with my hubby and I. It was fun, and really easy to do. You just pick your “friend” on Facebook and add in a few details, and it creates a little story on the Windows screen. Mine is longer than it shows here, so if you want to see the rest of our story, click HERE.

Unfortunately I don’t have a Facebook (much to my Girlfriends disdain) however I do have the story of how we met!

I was walking home from a rather terrible day at work when I noticed two people pulling a dozen shopping bags out of a taxi in front of my apartment complex. After how dreadful my day was I figured it might make me feel better to help someone else.
I approached the taxi and discovered a young lady and her mother deliberating over how they would transport all the groceries to their apartment.
I offered to help them and carried the bulk of the groceries, chatting happily as went to their apartment. The young lady introduced herself as Maggie and told me her mother was visiting for the weekend. As we drew near to her apartment I discovered she lived on the floor beneath me and told her where I lived.
Upon delivering the groceries and helping put them all away I was invited by Maggie and her mother to stay for dinner. However being the shy boy I was I declined and politely left.
An hour later I received a knock on my door and opened it to find a plate of cookies and a thank you note on my doorstep. The cookies were delicious and after much excitement and anxiety I went downstairs to return the plate. We talked for hours and really hit it off. 3 weeks and a half dozen successful dates later I asked her out and we’ve been together ever since!

Sadly, she has since moved to Louisiana for college, leaving me in Florida. We still Skype daily and mail each other letters (just the other day she mailed me bacon and choc chip cookies!) however Windows phones would do wonders for our relationship.

The plan is to surprise her in New Orleans on Valentines Day with flowers and an enormous hug. Wish me luck!

    Hey Tiffany!
Nick and I met when he moved in the blue house across the way from mine. I was the girl next door. He was two grades above me and was my big brother’s friend. Nothing much happened until we were graduated from high school (besides the time he asked me to be his girlfriend in 6th grade. I told him no and that ended that). We went out on a double date when we were in our early twenties. Then I left for an ecclesiastical mission in Canada and he wrote me every week for a year and half. When I returned home we were married 4 months later. We will celebrate our 8th anniversary this April!

I don’t have Facebook. My boyfriend and I met at a Labor Day picnic hosted by a mutual friend. We hit it off right away, but were just friends for a year and a half. Then we finally realized that we should be together!

Its starts off pretty boring since DH and I were set up by friends, but it was definitely not love at first sight. I missed our second date and we came very close to breaking up on our 6th, but instead of the formal date we had planned for we went bowling instead.

I met my husband at a beach party. I wasn’t supposed to be there. I told my mom I was taking my 14yo sister to the movies. She was there with me and of course covered for me. I was only 17 at the time. Some other guy was hassling me at the party and my hubby came over and asked if I would like to walk down the beach. I said yes, we started talking and that was it. In 3 weeks we will be married for 27 years.

I can’t exactly pinpoint our exact first meeting, but I met my husband in High School. You would think that would mean we were high school sweethearts, but not really. We ran in similar circles, and had Spanish Class together our Junior year (he SWEARS he knew he was going to marry me right then). He asked me to Junior Prom by having 3 dozen roses delivered to school on my birthday, complete with a mushy love poem. This is the beginning of our love saga, which continues today over 13 years and four children later.

    Hey Tiff,
I have a facebook, but for some reason every time I tried it closed on me. So here’s my story…even though you already know it :)
It was 1999, 2nd semester of 9th grade, when I started a woodshop class. I realized I was the only girl in a whole class of boys…yikes! But they were very nice to me, especially a particular boy named Nathan Fox (a complete hottie)! He was so sweet and helped me with all my projects. 2 months went by and he finally asked me out. We dated for 6 months when we found out I was pregnant. We were both scared to death! It was a huge struggle for both of us, but we got through it together! Now almost 14 years and 5 beautiful children later, we are more in love than ever! I wouldn’t change a thing about the last 14 years! It has been the most wonderful adventure & will continue for many years to come!

Em and I did meet in high school. I remember meeting her our sophomore year at a choir concert. no formal introduction, because we had seen each other around, and I had asked my friend John what her name was, but that night at a choir concert was the first time I said, “hey.” I was so suave! I was in love with her in spanish class and took her to junior prom. It is all history from there.
