Everything in miniature is cuter! These little Love Notes paper mailboxes made from my mailbox die from Lifestyle Crafts might just be some of the cutest things ever! They are perfect for post it size love notes, miniature candy bars, tiny toys, jewelry and trinkets. I made one for each member of the family, including Grandma and have set them out on a shelf to enjoy until Valentine’s Day. My kids have already been making little notes for one another, and making little animals out of pipe cleaners and felt and leaving happy mail for everyone. Starting Feb. 1, I will be putting a special note plus a treat, toy or something in each of their mailboxes each morning. I want to leave a note each day telling them something I love about them and only them. My sister in law makes these cute heart stockings for her family and hangs them up each February and fills them with things. I love this tradition of making a big deal about love. Especially for the kids.Valentine’s Day itself is more about me and my hubby, which it should be, I mean what wife doesn’t want to be spoiled and showered with love, flowers, chocolate and a night out?
I always give my kids a gift too, but I really want them to know how much I love each and every one of them. I want to make them feel super special. I have lots of ideas for what I want to put in their boxes. Handmade jewelry for my daughter, Lego creations for the older boys, hot wheels for the youngest, and of course, some treats for each of them.
Do you have any fun traditions for Valentines Day for your kids?
