I have been admiring the diy jewelry organizer frames with everyone’s pretty jewelry hanging from them for years but still had never gotten around to making one myself. Then for the umpteenth time my almost 2 year old got into my jewelry box and tangled my necklaces, lost an earring and had a bracelet hanging from his mouth by the time I found him. I decided it was about time I do something about it! I didn’t have chicken wire or little hooks or anything else so I had to come up with somethingnew.Iwent out to my garage, found a simple black frame and grabbed some heavy gauge wire. I took out the glass and then brought up the remaining pieces. I decided to go with burlap for the backing since it was neutral and I wanted to hang it near my bed, which I change the bedding on whenever the mood strikes.
I don’t really have step by step pictures because all I did was wrap the burlap around the frame back. Then I cut 4 pieces of wire about an inch or two longer than the frame and wrapped them around the frame back.
Using a basic stapler I just stapled over the wire through the burlap and the frame back.Then I went through my jewelry which was much more of a project than the actual project and got rid of anything broken, missing a match, stuff that was better suited for my daughter than me and anything I just wasn’t going to wear.Then I put everything that was left over on the frame. I love that I can hang my earrings on it and my necklaces and bracelets. The necklaces I string over and then do up the clasps. The bracelets I just string over if they’ll hang there without sliding off. 
For the bracelets that don’t clasp I put in a small brown cardboard box on my nightstand.
For the earrings that don’t hang and have backs on them, I put the matches through a button and then put them all in a little jewelry bag. I used a little clip with a hook on it to hang it to the frame.
It feels sooo good to have that all organized! It looks pretty on my wall and I can easily see what I have now…and what I need more of!
