5 Looks to Try This Summer. Style Board and Inspiration

Ready for a new edition of my favorite Crushes?! This time a collection of Summer styles.I have noticed that there are two trends for Summer 2012 that are hitting at the same time but could not be more different.I’m talking about Bright Colors and Solid Tone on Tone.

Bright Colors

For example, my very favorite look right now is bright lace!! Neon is the newest and brightest trend out there right now and even though I am still warming up to the idea I love to work it in slowly.

I made a lace skirt last year in neutral and although I am still in love with it I now want to make a lace pencil in every color of the rainbow. Adorable for this season.Also, still hanging around, the maxi dresses and skirts are huge for summer.

Anyone can wear a maxi and look great. Worn with a blazer, a cardigan or alone. I have some that I wore when I was pregnant and can still get away with wearing them now. This one is super cute because it has the neon paired with my all time favorite, stripes.My last example with pops of neon color is this outfit that’s perfect for a BBQ on the beach.

I love that it is made up of separates so this outfit is super comfortable and it’s fun. The cut off shorts are so easy to layer over your bathing suit.

Solid Tone on Tone

I’m a mom. So White has never been a big staple in my closet. With that said, I realize that I am not always with my kiddo’s and this fun fresh trend is just right for a date night with the Mr. or a girls night out. I really do love wearing white and love it even more when I am nice and tan. White on white is all over lately.

And thanks to my 3 hour long trip to Forever 21 on Saturday I now can achieve this next look that I have had pinned for quite a while.

Oh Tory Burch…. if only I could afford your clothes. Instead I have used my thrifting skills and found not one not two…but 3 solid vintage dresses in 3 different colors that I now have my F21 necklaces to match. I love this example of tone on tone. So beautiful.

Quite a different effect that you get from all the neon right? Both styles are amazing for summer and easily pulled off from items in your closet or your local thrift store. Try it out, would ya!
