Summer Hairstyles, Cuts and Colors. All about Hair 2012

Hi everyone! Hope your weekend was gorgeous. It has been in the 80′s all weekend where I live. For me, with that wonderful heat usually comes the beginning of endless ponytail season. Cute summer hairstyles are much needed. I have long hair. I have had long hair about 80% of my entire life. I love it and it’s what I am used to but in an effort to not just pull it back and call it good every day, I have a list of my go-to sites that give me all the hair inspiration I could ever need. I’ll show you those and a few of my fav. styles, cuts and colors.

Summer Hairstyles Inspiration

Let’s start with 2 of my favorite go-to’s.

BRAIDS!!

I am obsessed with braids. In any and every form. Long or short hair, curly or straight….braids are simple and beautiful.

Bang Braid How-To

I’ve been rockin’ the bang braid a lot lately. I also am in love with THIS one, THIS one, and THAT one! (Great tutorials)

Next, THE TOP KNOT!!

This is such an easy fix for unruly or messy hair. Top Knots are cute and they are easily worn with a casual look or a more dressed up look.

OK, to be honest with you all….I desperately want bangs.

BANGS!

I know, there everywhere right now. But when I see cute ones like THIS one and THIS one, I want run to my phone and book an appt. for today! **Tip for you… you can buy real hair clip-in bangs at Sally’s for a pretty good deal and they look fantastic if you can match your color. Plus, no permanent cutting is involved. Win/Win.

COLOR!!

I have played with my hair color since high school. I have done highlights, been blond, chestnut brown, and even a sad and depressing 2 days when I accidentally turned my highlights grey.

Oh what I would do to give this shade of red a try…

LOVING ombre as well.

But I always find my way back to my basic brunette with highlights. It’s comfy.

CUTS!!

I have grown attached to my long locks for now. But when the time comes I am thinking about a cut like this one.

I love that you can blow it dry, (or not) and run some product through it and Done! Fun for summer. I also love THIS mid length one and THIS adorable bob.
