Spring Crushes “must haves”

Oh…..hi! I have been doing some closet inventory this week. Getting rid of the old so I can welcome in the new. I started looking up some of my favorite spring crushes “must haves” this year and came up with this list of all of my latest crushes.

Spring Crushes

Chambray

Up first is Chambray! A chambray shirt is a staple item. It can be paired with so many different outfits taking it from casual, to layered, to dressy. Love it with shorts, skirts…I’ve even worn mine with my lace pencilskirt. You can find chambray in a few different shades and styles. Mine is from HERE.

Tangerine

Aside from Mint, I have been obsessed with the color Tangerine for months now. Ever since I saw which ever Olsen twin that is up there in that orange dress I have been on a mission to find something similar. What a fun color for the season. Granted, I am in need of a serious tan to pull this look off the way I want it to but a good start for anyone to add tangerine into their wardrobe is through nail color.

All of these brands are awesome, know that OPI Totally Tangerine is on my toes as you read this.

Great Sandal

Speaking of my toes, I am always on the lookout for a great sandal. I like that the trend this spring is more of a simple sandal. Once again, an item that can be paired with anything and can basically be worn anywhere but the gym. Simple is good. I am loving these sandals from Old Navy and loving the simple price tag as well.

Neon and Floral

The next two looks are fabulous but because I grew up in the 80’s my brain has to be forced into acceptance. Neon and Floral. In the picture above the two trends are worn together, and are fun and scream summer time. If you are not so brave, then separately they can be worn in small amounts and still look fabulous.

Accessorize

Like with these Chevron bangles that I adore. I have 4 kids and it seems that over the last few years I have stopped wearing fun jewelry because they ended up being just another teething toy. Boy, have I missed out. There are so many sites and shops that are making beautiful, stylish and affordable pieces of jewelry. Such an easy way to show your own personal style.

Color Blocking

Color Blocking with punches of bold colors are everywhere and I like when I see them toned down a bit with a neutral. For example, take this bright (eye catching) Zara skirt that has been mellowed out a little with a great Marc Jacobs shirt in neutral. AAHHhhhhh those shoes kill me!

Clutches and Handbags

Last but not least at all , I have a list of great handbags and clutches put together by Smashion that are just the perfect thing to finish off a great outfit.

1. The Fluoro, Cambridge Satchel Company, $167.44; 2. Chevron Beaded Clutch, Forever 21, $24.80; 3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Take Me Croc Tote, Bloomingdales, $228; 4. BPANDORA, Steve Madden, $78; 5. Zipped Clutch, Zara, $89.90; 6. Xhilaration Yellow Crossbody, Target, $24.99
So.. be brave. Try new colors and prints. Mix and match from your own closet first, even if it means forcing your brain to accept that skirt from 1984.
TRY IT!!

Now It’s Your Turn!
What Spring Crushes are you needing to add to your closet?

Which of these styles are you going to try out next?

I LOVE your spring crushes. I’ve been having a love affair with all these colors and patterns too. Sigh. Now only if someone would donate to my fashion fund!
